Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA)
Your health is more than the number on the scales! Understanding your body composition can put you on the right track with creating goals that are realistic & trackable.
Weight
The total amount in kilograms (kg) that your whole body consists of. The easiest number to measure, but the most difficult to make sense of without gathering other data of what makes up your body weight.
Body Fat Percentage
Body Fat Percentage is the proportion of fat to the total body weight. We need fat in our body to maintain temperature, protect joints & organs and help with our hormones, but too much or too little fat can be detrimental. This is important to track if attempting to lose or gain weight.
Muscle Mass
The total weight of all the muscles in your body. Muscles are necessary for fitness and whole body health, and also play a large role in energy requirements. This is important to track for general health, bone health, injury management and weight loss/gain.
Body Mass Index
Used to classify between healthy and unhealthy weight ranges. This measure does not apply correctly to all people, depending on muscle mass and goals.
Visceral Fat Level
The level of fat around your organs. Used to determine future and current health risk.
Total Body Water
The total amount of water in the body. Hydration is a key indicator of health & body composition.
